Step 2: Submit an error report
If you’ve already configured your computer to generate an error report file, this file was created after your last crash. You can now upload the file by clicking the following link. Note: To submit an error report, you will need to have an ActiveX control installed on your computer. If you do not already have this control installed, click the information bar at the top of the next browser window to install the control.

Configure your computer to generate an error report file
By default, Windows XP Home and Windows XP Professional are not configured to generate an error report file. If this is your first time seeing this page, you will most likely need to configure your computer to generate this file. If you receive another Stop error after configuring your computer, you will then be able to send the kernel memory dump file to Microsoft. In other words, your computer must experience another Stop error to generate the error file.
